What are they?
With aging, the
skin starts changing. One of these changes is the formation
of creases that are caused by the atrophy of the fat
portion of the tissues, plus the weakening of the skin
caused by the moving of the muscles.
Today we have products that fill these creases. Products
that may be more delicate or thicker are used for the
different levels of depression.
1) Fine
wrinkles:
For fine wrinkles around the mouth, in the contour of
the mouth or even for the redness of the lip, we prefer
to use the hialuronic acid.
The hialuronic acid has a transitory result that may
vary from 6 months to 1 year, with a reapplication after
this period. The application is intradermic, and normally
we use an anesthetic ointment.
2)
Deeper creases:
For deeper creases, such as the naso geniano (Chinese
moustache) or the corner of the mouth (ventriloquist
mouth), we need thicker products or fat from the patient
herself.
Before the application:
The use of anesthetic ointment decreases the
discomfort caused by the needle used for the application
of the filling.
After the application:
We recommend the application of cold chamomile
pads for some hours. Painkillers are not necessary.
